Is this a subscription?<\/summary>\n

Plans are made to repeat, but recurring crates and payments need a WooCommerce subscriptions plugin on your store. Without one, each crate is a single order you place yourself.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Can I skip a crate or pause?<\/summary>\n

With a subscriptions plugin, yes: skip the next crate or pause your plan from your account before the cut-off. The cut-off in this demo is five days before dispatch (sample).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

How do the cultures travel?<\/summary>\n

Cultures are sealed and packed with a cool pack. Put them in the fridge when the crate arrives and start them within the time on the card (sample).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Do I need special equipment?<\/summary>\n

A Small crate needs only clean glass jars. Larger crates and the gift runs include a weight, a crock or swing-top bottles.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Do you list ingredients and allergens?<\/summary>\n

Every product page lists ingredients and allergens. The notes in this demo are placeholders: milk kefir grains are kept in dairy milk, and some spice mixes contain sesame or mustard.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

How long does delivery take?<\/summary>\n

Crates leave us on Mondays; tracked delivery takes 1\u20133 working days (sample times).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Can I return something?<\/summary>\n

Unopened gear can go back within 30 days. Cultures and kits cannot be returned once sent (sample policy).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Which payment methods do you accept?<\/summary>\n

Card payments and the wallets shown at checkout (sample). Your payment details are handled by the payment provider.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

There is a white film on my brine. What now?<\/summary>\n

A thin, flat white film can form on vegetable ferments. Fuzzy, coloured or raised spots are a different thing: when in doubt, throw the batch out and start again (sample guidance).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

My kombucha culture sank to the bottom.<\/summary>\n

That is normal: a new culture can sink, float or sit sideways. A fresh layer usually forms on the surface during the brew.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

The milk kefir is thin and tastes of plain milk.<\/summary>\n

New grains often need a few feeds to settle. Keep the same milk-to-grain ratio and the same spot in the kitchen for a week.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

The vegetables float above the brine.<\/summary>\n

Press them back under with the glass weight from the kit. Everything should stay below the liquid.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

My kraut tastes too salty.<\/summary>\n

Taste again after a few more days. Next time, weigh the cabbage and use the salt amount from the card for that weight.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

A bottle hissed loudly when I opened it.<\/summary>\n

Second-ferment bottles build up fizz. Open them over the sink, chill them first and check them every day (sample guidance).<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
