Upload your pet photo
The photo makes the portrait
A phone photo is fine. A few small things help us get the ears, the eyes and the markings right.
Daylight, no flash
Stand near a window. Flash turns eyes green or white.
At eye level
Crouch down so the camera is level with the nose.
Whole head in frame
Both ears, the chin and the collar line, without cropping.
Their usual look
Sitting, lying or mid-sniff: whatever looks most like them.

Files we can use
- JPG, PNG or HEIC, at least 1500 px on the short side
- Up to three photos per pet
- Up to three pets in one portrait (extra fee)
Your photo, your rights. Only upload photos you took or have permission to use. We use them only to draw your portrait (sample text).
Proof steps
You see it before we print it
Every portrait comes to your inbox as a proof first. Nothing is printed until you say yes.

Order and upload
Choose the art style and the product, then upload your photo with the link in your order email.

We draw your pet
An artist draws the portrait by hand, usually within two working days (sample time).

Check the proof
The proof shows the portrait on your product. Ask for changes or approve it.

We print and send
Approved proofs go to print the next working day and ship tracked.

Drawing starts when your photo arrives. Printing starts when you approve the proof.

Designing your portrait
Everything about photos, styles, text and proofs.
Can you add my pet's name?
Yes. Add up to 15 letters under the portrait on mugs, canvases and blankets, and up to 3 short lines on the back of a tag (sample limits).
Can you remove a lead or a person from the photo?
Yes. We draw only your pet; leads, hands and backgrounds stay out unless you ask for them.
My pet has unusual markings. Will you keep them?
We keep patches, spots and odd ears. Point them out in the order note and we check them on the proof.
Which style should I choose?
Flat colour suits every photo and every product. Line art looks best large, on canvases; pop block and pastel love blankets.
More than one snout?
Two pets, one portrait
Draw the whole gang together, side by side or curled up, even from separate photos. Up to three pets per portrait.
